Mt. Judea Senior Center

In December of 2016 the Deer Mt. Judea School Board allowed the Alliance to move forward with a plan to turn the old 1950s through 1960s lunch room into a Senior Center.  A place for local seniors over the age of 60 and their spouses and caregivers to congregate, eat a hot lunch, drink coffee, visit and play games each Thursday of the school year, from 11 am to 2 pm.

Alliance members and local volunteers set about cleaning and painting to ready the room for opening on January 5, 2017.

The meals are prepared in the School's Lunchroom and served to the seniors at a charge of $2 per meal.  The Menu for each Thursday’s meal can been seen in the Newton County Times and on the School’s website.
